Senate President Therese Murray (D-Plymouth) recently announced that the Civil Service Unit of the Executive Office of Administration and Finance is now accepting applications for the upcoming Civil Service Examination. The upcoming entry-level exam is for residents who are interested in becoming a municipal service firefighter.

“Firefighters put their lives on the line each day for our protection,” Murray said. “This is the first step for residents interested in working as a firefighter. So, if you are interested in this opportunity, sign up for the exam.”

The exam will take place on April 24. Applications and information about eligibility requirements, application fees, and the examination process are available by calling the Examination hotline at 800-392-6178 or online at mass.gov/civilservice.
