A Plymouth man has been charged with drug dealing as the result of an undercover investigation led by a local drug task force involving a plain-clothed Pembroke officer.

Robert Parsons, 49, of Plymouth, has been charged with possession and intent to distribute Class B oxycodone pills.

The Pembroke officer reportedly followed Parsons to a Whitman home on Jan. 13, where the officer witnessed a hand-to-hand transaction, Pembroke Police Lt. Mike Jenness said.

Police obtained a search warrant and entered the home. They reportedly found $1,800 in cash and 100 prescription 30-mg. oxycodone pills on Parsons at the time of his arrest. The street value of the pills were $30 each, according to Jenness. The cash and pills were seized as evidence.

Police are actively investigating the case and additional charges may be filed.
